Samay: Time Translator
Plan across time zones.
Overview
Samay (Hindi/Sanskrit for 'time') helps you effortlessly compare and plan across multiple time zones in one clean, customizable view. Whether you're coordinating with a remote team, planning international travel, or scheduling across continents, Samay makes global time intuitive and visual.
The Story
Samay started with a simple request from my mom. She was struggling with a world clock app. The UI was confusing, too clunky, too much white space. It just didn't feel easy to use. She needed something simpler.
So I started building Samay, initially just for her. But as I worked on it, I realized it solved a problem I was facing too. I had just started my startup journey. Scheduling calls across time zones with clients spread across the US was becoming a headache. I needed a way to quickly see what time it was in multiple cities and plan meetings without the mental math.
Samay became that tool. Something me and my mom could both use to figure out timings, schedule calls, coordinate across time zones. What started as a simple gift for my mom turned into something genuinely useful for my own work.
Built with SwiftUI and SwiftData, Samay embraces the same minimalist design philosophy as all Brainrot Creations projects: warm aesthetics, intentional restraint, a focus on what actually matters. No clutter, no confusion. Just time, translated.
